DIY Stir-Fry Sauces

Are you impressed when someone tells you that they made their sauce from scratch instead of using a store-bought sauce? Well, why can’t that impressive person be you?? It’s not as difficult as it may seem to be. I have 5 tasty and easy stir-fry sauces that are sure to bring lots of flavor to your next stir fry. The best part, the ingredients may be different but the directions are the same for all of them – just mix together in a small bowl with a whisk until well combined. Another great thing about homemade sauces is you control how much sugar and sodium you want in them. Check them out down below!

 

#1 Basic Stir Fry Sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 ½ tbsp cornstarch

 

#2 Curry Sauce

  • 1 ½ tbsp curry paste
  • 1 ½ tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tsp honey
  • ½ cup stock/water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch

 

#3 Orange-Ginger Sauce

  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • ½ cup orange juice (1 large orange)
  • 1 ½ tbsp cornstarch

 

#4 Black Pepper Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ cup stock/water
  • 1-1.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

 

#5 Sweet & Sour Sauce

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2/3 cup stock/water
  • 1 ½ tbsp cornstarch
